Paid Summer Research Internship in STEM Education
The SEISMIC (Sloan Equity and Inclusion in STEM Introductory Courses (SEISMIC) project, a multi-institutional, interdisciplinary collaboration of ten large public research universities centered on making large introductory STEM courses equitable and inclusive, has a paid summer research internship opportunity in STEM Education through their 'SEISMIc Scholars" project for undergraduate students.
Here is a little bit more details about the SEISMIC Scholars.
What is SEISMIC Scholars?
The SEISMIC Scholars opportunity is a paid, remote summer research internship to connect undergraduate students with SEISMIC members who are developing educational tools and conducting research to understand how to enhance equity and inclusion in large, STEM introductory courses. As a SEISMIC Scholar, you will engage in various activities over the summer, including participating in data collection and analysis, attending weekly professional development seminars, connecting with other SEISMIC collaborators through the SEISMIC Summer Meeting, and presenting your work in a student colloquium at the end of the summer.
More information about the internship and how to apply for it can be found at this link. The deadline to apply is fast approaching: 4/24.
Happy to answer any questions folks may have.

Opportunity at Berkeley
Spending a semester or year away from campus can be a transformative experience for college students, and we here at UC Berkeley would like to bring a new visiting-student program offered by the UC Berkeley College of Chemistry, the world’s #1-ranked Chemistry faculty, to your attention.
The Berkeley Global Chemistry Visiting Student Program is a semester-length cohort-based program for undergraduates focused on either Computational Chemistry or Chemical Biology. Students will choose between these two tracks and participate in specialized upper-division coursework alongside Berkeley undergraduates and their international cohort peers.
In addition to the wide range of upper-division Chemistry offerings and the opportunity to study alongside Berkeley students and professors, visiting Chemistry students will have an opportunity to seek undergraduate research training through joining faculty laboratories, attend professional and academic networking events, and connect to UC Berkeley Chemistry’s wide and active alumni network.
If you or another member of your department would be interested in learning more about programming, course transfer, or anything else related to the Chemistry Visiting Student Program, our team would welcome an opportunity to detail how Berkeley’s study-away programming could complement the work of your Chemistry department to provide your students with opportunities for intellectual growth and career exploration.
If you are interested, but feel this email would be better directed to your university’s study-away office, we would appreciate your endorsement and a forward on to the appropriate point of contact. Please reach out if you’d like to connect over Zoom or through email; we look forward to hearing from you.
